What time can the party go on until?

All licensable activities (music and alcohol) must finish by 00:30 am and all guests vacated by 01:00 am.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own alcohol. We are also fully licenced for alcohol to be sold on the premises, which means you can also arrange your own bar service.

What packages do you have?

As a dry-hire venue, we do not have any packages.

Our price includes:

  • Venue hire from 9am on the day prior to your event until 11am the day after your event
  • Exclusive use of the venue and the grounds
  • Use of the bridal/wedding suite for two nights
  • Use of the PA system
  • VAT

We are always happy to assist with finding suppliers if required.

Are tables and chairs included in the hire price?

We have banqueting tables and Chiavari chairs to accommodate 150 seated guests, which are included in the wedding hire price.

Is there car parking available and can cars be left overnight?

There is ample on-site parking and guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight at their own risk. All cars should be collected between 8:30am and 11am on the day after after the wedding.

Are we allowed fireworks?

Fireworks are not permitted due to local livestock.

Does the venue have heating?

Yes, the venue has both a heating and cooling air conditioning system.

Are there disabled facilities?

Yes the venue and accommodation provide disabled facilities. The venue premises are all one level with easy access to the garden, making it both wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

What are the dimensions of the barn?

Can we have confetti?

Confetti can be used provided it is biodegradable.

Can we use candles inside the venue?

Candles may be used provided they are in a receptacle which is taller than the candle.

Can we hang decorations inside the barn?

Decorations can be hung, provided they are done so using the hooks located at various points throughout. Please do not use any additional fixtures including drawing pins, blu-tack or glue.

Is smoking/vaping allowed?

In line with the law, smoking/vaping is not allowed anywhere inside the barn, Any guests wishing to smoke/vape should do so in the designated smoking shelter.

Can music be played outside?

Non-amplified music may be played outside until 9pm. Due to licencing conditions, amplified music cannot be played outside at any time.

What time can we can we start setting up the venue?

The venue will be available for setting up from 9am Friday, prior to the wedding on Saturday, and 9am on Tuesday, prior to a Wednesday wedding.

Can we get married outside?

Yes. Our  gazebo is licenced for outdoor ceremonies.

How many can Malt House Barn accommodate for a ceremony?

We can host up to 100 guests for a ceremony in our indoor ceremony room. We can also accommodate 150 guests for an outdoor ceremony.

How many can Malt House barn seat for the wedding breakfast?

We can seat up to 150 guests for your wedding breakfast.

What is the ceremony fee?

The £250 ceremony fee covers the legal obligation for one of the Malt House Barn team members to be present during the ceremony. The wedding registrars are to be arranged independently.
